Responsibilities

Include but are not limited to:

  • Greet customers on the lot, engage them, and guide them through the sales process
  • Work cooperatively and assist other sales professionals as needed
  • Learn, practice, and master sales processes as determined by management
  • Prepare documents legibly and completely
  • Learn and regularly review vehicles and their unique features to demonstrate to customers in person and through social media
  • Work with the Business Development Department to develop your sales brand
  • Follow rules both corporate and legal
  • Walk the lot to check vehicles and report any problems to management
  • Communicate regularly with current, prior, and prospective customers with the goal of developing strong long-term relationships
  • Be open and available for community events as a positive representative of the dealership
  • Establish a social media presence and actively share/post dealership information

South Richmond Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge and Ram is located in the heart of the Tri-Cities, just up the road from Fort Lee and minutes off I-95 using exit 54. This position is for an experienced Lube Tech who is team oriented, hardworking and understands the need to do quality work the first time.

Job Requirements:

  • 1 year experience as an automotive lube technician
  • Hold a valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Be team oriented, flexible, and have high standards
  • Have excellent attendance at previous jobs

Job Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently perform work specified in accordance with dealership and/or Mopar standards
  • Continually learn new information and techniques through formal learning sessions
  • Drain oil from the vehicle and replace it to the manufacturer and dealership standards
  • Topping off other fluids, including brake, power steering, and windshield wiper fluid
  • Inspect the engine block and underbody for leaks and potential issues
  • Check tire pressure and fill tires with air as needed to manufacturer specifications
  • Install new car parts such as air filters, oil filters, windshield wipers and batteries
  • Lubricate moving parts as necessary, including those in the engine and wheel bearings and ensuring the engine is kept clean throughout servicing
  • Diagnosing existing issues and consulting with lead mechanics on the team to address the vehicles’ issues
  • Doing a final check to make sure everything is completed as it should be

What experience is required?

  • Have at least one year of experience as an automotive service technician.
  • (Preference will be given to applicants with experience at a Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram dealership and/or State Inspectors and ASE certifications.)
  • Hold a valid Driver's License with a clean driving record

What qualities should you have?

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively

  • Be flexible yet focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
  • Have a strong work ethic to do things the correct way the first time
  • Ability and desire to continue obtaining State Inspectors License/ Stellantis certifications

What is typical of the job?

  • Efficiently perform work specified on RO in accordance with dealership and Mopar standards.
  • Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations governing service repair work.
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems to specification and document work performed.
  • Have respect for the customer’s vehicle and keep it clean.
  • Road test vehicles as required and directed.
  • Communicate with Parts Department to obtain needed parts for repair.
  • Communicate with advisor regarding status of the repair, additional work required, or repairs that cannot be completed. Communicate effectively and compassionately with customers as needed.
  • Inspect and test new/used vehicles for sale, record findings, and make necessary repairs as determined and directed.
  • Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins, attend training classes, and continually learn new information and techniques.
